About The WLW Project

The concept of The WLW Project is similar to the one behind what people already know as The Big Brother (Big Sister) Project, but it is directly targeted at wlw youth and/or wlw who are questioning, coming to terms with their identity or in other ways considered to be part of the category of “baby gays”.

Our goal is to provide you with a mentor who you can talk to: someone with similar experiences to you. We realise that there are already many wlw blogs out there, but more often than not they are centered around one individual who cannot possibly be expected to be able to respond to everyone, let alone be able to deal with the vast scope of experiences you have - which is where we come in. We are hoping that we will be able to create a place where everyone who does not have an older/more experienced wlw to turn to can come and ask to be set up with their own personal mentor (and hopefully, friend).

To make this happen we are also depending on those of you out there with experience in what it means to be WLW, if you feel like you have something to share or just really wanna help out then we encourage you to email us at [email protected]. Until we have established a base of volunteers we will personally handle any asks/messages you may have. We realise that between the two of us we cannot possibly understand what each and everyone is going through, which is why we are seeking out volunteers, until then we will do our best!

The WLW Project is an inclusive initiative, we welcome all women-aligned people and are also open non-binary people!

We are a man-aligned and TERF free zone - if you cannot respect this then you will be blocked.

Yeah, but is feminism nonbinary inclusive?

(I'm genuinely wondering 'cause I've practically never heard of anyone speaking up about nonbinary recognition and never in a feminist context, I think.)
