Brucie Wayne is publicly a typical himbo, just bumbling around with no clue what he’s doing, until a crisis happens. Then everyone gets to see Brucie become hyper-competent and actually keep people safe. After the crisis is over, everybody who isn’t a Gothamite is questioning his competence and discussing their suspicions about how he became so competent, but every time someone tries to suggest he’s Batman, a Gothamite swoops in (heh) and terrifies everyone with their stories of how Gotham is. The non-Gothamites are like: he can’t possibly be that much of a himbo AND know what to do in a crisis!!! And everyone from Gotham just scoffs at that and replies that Brucie wouldn’t have survived in Gotham for so long if he didn’t know how to remain in control during a dangerous situation. All the while, Bruce is just incredibly grateful he claimed a city where this type of behavior is normal, because his Brucie persona wouldn’t work anywhere else in the world.
