This philosophy, deeply rooted in various traditions, asserts that reality is an undivided whole, transcending the usual distinctions we make between self and other, here and there, or this and that. Nonduality suggests that these separations are illusions, conceptual divisions…

Every Now Moment
By James Martin
In my post of just moments ago, "Meditation & The Immediate Moment," I constructed the phrase "every now moment". Implicit in this construction is that there are multiple now moments, rather than just this one, now.Â
And, in some sense, perhaps there are. And yet, in another sense, there is clearly not.
The very word "are" above suggests a plural.
We are so used to portioning out time, measuring it, mapping it on calendars and lives.Â
Our lives -- plural again.
So used to conflating distinctness and distinctions with separation, we tend neither to see nor to feel the world (or ourselves) whole--undivided.
I dare you to locate the boundaries of this moment. Where does it really begin and end? Where do we begin and end?
Is a river just the channel of water along the banks, or is it also the whole watershed? And if it is the watershed, why is it not also the clouds, the oceans from which the rainwater or snowmelt came...? Find me anything at all which stands or sits entirley alone!
