day old coffee | @ iki & yato
Three weeks has passed since she last interacted with Yato. It was nothing questionable as they both balance busy schedules from school work to slaying phantoms. If it wasn't clear, Iki mainly did school work for the past couple weeks instead of hanging out with Yato and Yukine. Recently, the teen has missed her fellow companions, mainly Yato as it's frequent for Yukine to pop up and ask for books and homework collecting. Not that she minded, to be honest - helping ease Yukine's jealously for humans and along the way, be his tutor was a jovial excuse to occupy time together.
On the night before, the teen sent a late night text to the deity proposing to reunite at a nearby cafe. Truthfully, without the wild duo's company, her world has slowly become lonely again. Iki spent passing minutes re-reading her message unsure if her friendly notion seemed too abrupt ; her mind clogged of overwhelming insecurities and conclusions played as an extended distraction before fully falling asleep.

Yato!~ Haven't seen you in a while, let's meet at the cafe near the school at 12:30. I sent you some directions too (I know you don't really need them but sent them anyways.)
I'll be waiting!
See you then! (*^-^*)

Now standing in front of the cafe, the girl glanced at her watch, 12:21 PM. As usual, she was earlier than the suggested time, her lips curving upwards knowing subconsciously, she was unable of containing her excitement. Above all, what reality said was three weeks, felt like three months as she's become adjusted to her alternative life as a half phantom than an ordinary high school student.
Nonchalantly entering the establishment, a whiff of scents nuzzled past her nose. Cafes was one of her favorite places to be due to a mixture of aroma and the peaceful atmosphere that came along with it. Sliding herself at an open table, she examined the splotches of pastel colors coloring the surface of the tables and seats. Despite the radiant setting, the walls were painted beige with white lining above, hinting at baked goods or the color of coffee. Plopping herself near a table closer to the door, the brunet sets aside her phone, awaiting for Yato to mark his arrival.
