Catching his passive snippet about chocolate muffins. In a mimicking low pitched voice, she wags her finger in front of his visage, a grin quickly forming. "Your wish is my command!" A mocked hardy laugh erupted from her chords, unable to contain herself. Rapidly, she attempted to cover up her enthusiasm, but sticks out her hand, glaring in his direction. "But only for 5 yen, of course..."
Retreating her hand, Hiyori stops her act, a sigh of relief escaped between the teen's lips as one of the nearby waitresses approached their table. For a moment, she was truly happy, teasing and joking around with the deity but, negativity always found their ways to leech on her happiness. On the other hand, she was thankful that Yato didn't pry too much on her attitude and continued to shrug it off. Granted, a small inflict pinched at her emotions that his personality was too careless to see through attached insecurities and fears, beginning to leech on the girl amid the past month. In ways, there was nobody to hold accountable of their encounter but her stubborn demeanor, persistence and fate.
Musing upon her trivial dilemma, a young woman advanced towards their table her attire decked with a frilly apron and a complimentary tan-plaid bow resting on her heard. Leaning towards the pair, she offers a friendly smile asking, "how may I help you today?"
Immediately, Hiyori hands over the menus, attention directing towards the hostess. "Two chocolate muffins and two coffees, please!" In response, the woman nods, pointing towards a small corner on the other side of the cafe, "cream, sugar and milk are all found in that area over there. Your order will arrive momentarily!" And in a flash, the lady fades from sight.
Between those three weeks, not much seemed to happen in the other's world besides the same old, same old. These days, time passed by ever so slowly but, their time together is likely to shorten. However, there was a voice lingering behind her mind in a nagging tone ; 'You have to tell him.' Her only counter towards her own remark was, 'I ... can't. What if he thinks..."
Noticing a pair of shimmering cobalt orbs, the brunet fixes her gaze as the duo fell in silence. He knew. Additionally, when calling him up again she didn't expect her mini reunion to be so awkward less this nerve wrecking. "Um..." Her tone was gentle but below the table, her legs were numb in result of feeling captivity from his stare. Unable to keep up with such unease, Hiyori hastily circulates her view, knowing a pair of eyes were scrutinizing her every breath and move.
Cheeks burned from embarrassment, she knew that her true feelings about their friendship and her alternate lifestyle would come back and bite deeply but it was an unexpected turn of events. During their time apart, she really sat down and thought about the future and the consequences attached to them.Everything was becoming questionable, and no matter how hard she wanted to fight off her fears, they always came running back somehow.
"S-Sorry. There's a lot on my mind today...I'm just worried about my tests this week." A poor lie that even Yato could pick up on. Though he was unsure of what was rummaging through her mind, he understood what type of person she was who didn't want the heavy burden placed on others, especially her friends. So just maybe, he wouldn't mention anything any longer. If there was a proper time and place, she would mention or hint at it, usually at a dark setting and solemn area where nobody could hear or see her break, scream and cry. "Em..enough about me, how have you been lately?"
