7. one person you hope to come out to in the future?

My dad and his wife! I'm a bit terrified, but then again, they follow me on Instagram since like 2017 or so, and back in 2016 I made a coming out post which I don't know if they've seen...and my dad keeps telling me stuff like "I just want you to be happy" and saying he loves me and— dkxkdkcn I don't know if he's trying to let me know that he knows or if it's something else entirely ;-; I really want to tell him but I really don't know if he'll understand what me being nonbinary even means 😅

8. what has helped you accept yourself as non-binary?

My girlfriend's unconditional support, the online nonbinary community, the local nonbinary + polyamorous community in my town (wish my anxiety wouldn't stop me from meeting with them more often 😅), learning and remembering moments from my childhood that were Peak Nonbinary™, the moments of gender euphoria I've had throughout the years (as well as the dysphoria that hits sometimes), and just...the way it just feels so natural to not think of myself as my agab :)

5. Is there a myth about nonbinary people that annoys you the most?

God, there are literally so many! The one i see pop up the most, though, is that we're all white and androgynous. As a black femme enby it hurts to never see myself represented, or not be accepted bc i don't "look nonbinary".

18. Which flag(s) do you use?

I use the trans and lesbian flags the most! I like the nonbinary flag ig? But I don't vibe with it the same as i do the trans flag.

1. when did you discover you are non-binary?

When I was 18! A part of me always knew (especially when I was a really young kid and said things like 'I'm a girl-boy' XD), but I didn't know it was an option or that there was a word for it until I was 18, and the term 'nonbinary' instantly clicked 😊

5. what are the correct pronouns to use for you?

In English, she/her or they/them (really, either is okay! I know some people feel like they're misgendering me if they use she/her because I'm nonbinary, but it's more complex than that, and I wouldn't say those pronouns were okay if they weren't).

In Spanish, only (the equivalent of) she/her for now!

(This is, BTW, what works for me for now; I'm still questioning, so it might change in the future. I'll change my bio if it does!)

18. do you like presenting feminine, masculine, androgynous or a mix of all of them?

I am not out, and for the most part don't want to come out. It's probably a lot of internalized transphobia but I'm scared of what could happen if I were to come out. Although I do have a few friends who know!

And I do actually have one nb friend as far as I know! They're genderfluid and I love them so much. They've been helping me figure out my gender identity!

3. How old were you when you came out to yourself as nonbinary?

Honestly? I kinda always knew. Growing up I knew i was very much Not A Girl, and when i "discovered" the nonbinary community I was just kinda like "cool, there's a word for it." Idk any specific moment.

16. Do you prefer partner, datemate, significant other or something else?

I like being called someone's girlfriend!! I'm a lesbian and as long as i know my gf is respectful of my pronouns, the word girlfriend makes me feel so happy😊😊

19. Any tips for bad days?

DISTRACT👏YOURSELF👏👏👏👏 watch a show, paint something, do anything you can to get your mind on happier things. Also be sure to eat, drink, and be safe! Wear stuff and do stuff that makes you feel better, and remember that no matter what you're a bad bitch. And always know that my askbox or dms are open if you need to talk!

22. What are your three favorite things about yourself?

Hmm,,, I'm really good at taking care of plants, I'm amazing in the kitchen, and according to my friends I'm loyal and caring. It means the world to hear im a good friend.

Gosh, idk! I'm not a very punny person, so i really don't know how to answer this one.

14. How did you find your name?

My name is a phonetic translation of my chinese name. I started exploring my gender while i was living in China, so it felt right and a way to honor that part of my life.
