"Sirius I'm not a girl!"
"What? what do you mean you're not a girl? I've known you my whole life, you're a girl."
"But I don't feel like one."
"You will when you're older, I mean I don't feel like a boy but mum said that feeling goes away. It's just a phase."
.
"Sirius can I try on your new robes?"
"If I can try yours? I'll close the curtains in case someone comes in."
"How's it look?"
"You look great... you look like me."
"Really?"
"How'd i look? it feels so swishy."
"Wow. You look pretty."
Sirius grinned, "I like the skirt."
.
"Regulus? You get to pick your own name and you choose that?"
Regulus shrugged, "maybe mother and father will be more accepting if they like the name."
"Good luck with that. It suits you though... Reggie."
"Hey!"
.
"I don't like being called he", Sirius said.
"Are you a girl, then?"
"No... but I'm not a boy either."
"oh... well I guess thats okay. What am I meant to use instead of he, though?"
"I don't like she or he. What else is there?"
"I guess you could use they. Like... 'Sirius is so annoying, they always invade my personal space. They're an idiot'... like that?"
"Hey! Wait... I can do that?"
"Well yeah. I haven't heard anyone solely use that pronoun before. But, it is commonly used singularly so I don't see why not."
.
"Is that my boyfriend's jumper?"
"He puts spells on them that make your chest look flat! Look Sirius!"
"He's so smart."
"...you're supposed to be admiring the flatness of my chest, not Remus' brain."
"I can do both", they shrugged.
.
"Are you sure you don't want to come? James will be more than happy to let you stay too."
Regulus shook his head, "with you gone they'll let be who I am. They'll have to accept me as a man in order to still have an heir."
"Just... please lie low, don't get into any trouble."
"Don't act like you?"
"Exactly. Don't pull a Sirius."
