If nothing else, it’s days like this where immature assholes mouth off on Twitter, that shows me that a good portion of this fandom is filled with good people. I have never seen a fandom so quick to condemn the bad behavior within like I have the Captain Swan fandom. It’s not perfect, of course, but when the posts I’m seeing condemning the shitty behavior are outweighing the shitty behavior itself, it shows me this fandom (for the most part) has a good head on its shoulders.
(And honestly, I think this is partly the reason Jen and Colin don’t leave social media completely. Because they see that for as loud as the shitty people can be, the people who genuinely care about them and respecting their privacy are louder).
