What I know and believe, where I stand, how I want to you to help me help others:

I am for #BlackLivesMatter. I understand that using #AllLivesMatter essentially invalidates that Black Lives Matter. Yes, it is inclusive, but this is not about All Lives. This is about Black Lives. By including everyone else it becomes selfish and erases the struggles of “Black Lives”. While yes, all lives matter, we are obviously not holding everyone’s lives equal, so we should not make it seem like they are, so we should not include everyone. Black Lives Matter is not to raise awareness to how EVERYONE should be treated, it is to raise the value of  how Black Lives should be treated: equal to everyone.

I do not at all promote the shootings of the police. I’m not going to tell people that they should or shouldn’t do it. (And I apologize for there is a quote saying, “being neutral is choosing the side of the oppressor”. I am not saying it is okay to kill one over the other. I just don’t agree with killing anyone, but we do not live that world.)  HOWEVER I understand that the point of all of this happening is to have people feel UNCOMFORTABLE with the fact that POSSIBLY innocent people are being killed, and it is obviously WORKING. I understand that the end result is to spread awareness, to spread empathy. And I am all for the end result, but do the ends justify the means? Honestly, I don’t know. Because right now, the fact that THIS is what it finally takes to spread knowledge, empathy, news, awareness, etc. is extremely disheartening. Do I want people to continue dying? No one ever wants that. What I do want is peace. Do I wish that there would be better means to achieving that peace and equality? Yes. But this is where we are at at this point in time. 

I am not white, but I am more privileged than others. If I ever say something that may offend you, if I ever am wrong or I am misunderstanding something, please let me know and please educate me. I am not here to spread hate, I am here to spread awareness and knowledge, so give me that awareness to spread. Please, if I come off ignorant, educate me.  I understand that you may want to call me derogatory names, I understand that you may be fed up and frustrated at how ignorant people can be, but I want you to know that I am willing to listen. Help me understand, I want to understand.

So I started watching Grey's Anatomy..

And I've been binge watching it for like 4 days, already almost on season 3. BUT SEASON 2 EPISODE 16 AND 17 HAD MY ANXIETY THROUGH THE FUCKING ROOF!
