Hi!! I helped create a nonhuman art collective called Project NUZ with the intention of creating zines and other media- here is our first proto-zine! You can read it all here, I plan to share the files for printing at as a foldable soon!

The experience of wanting to be non-human is not well-understood scientifically, but it may be related to a mismatch between a person's internal body map and their physical body. This mismatch can cause distress similar to gender dysphoria. There is currently no scientific term for this condition, but the proposed term is Absent Anatomy Dysphoria (AAD). People with AAD may experience a desire for animalistic features or a feeling of being in the wrong body. The causes of AAD are unknown, but it may be related to brain development or neurological factors. There is no known treatment for AAD, but some people find coping mechanisms such as virtual reality or creative expression helpful..

so one of my old theriotypes used to be a Siberian weasel, I’ve started to think that I’m still kinda one? Like it’s not my identity but I feel that intense connection, like with my bear hearttype :D

Hello nonhuman friends! We would like to let you know this is a nonhuman, fictive, fictionkin, multiple and general identity minority-friendly space. Queer and trans* rights should not be pitted against the otherkin community, given there's a giant amount of overlapping between these groups! We know there's been many posts (mainly by cisgendered """allies""" sorry to say) accusing the otherkin community of appropriating trans* struggles. While we are adamant on the fact that if you are otherkin and not a gender and/or sexuality minority, you should not be comparing said groups to being otherkin, we also firmly believe in the right of trans* and queer otherkin to compare their experiences as any and all of the minority groups they fall into! Whether you are an isrm otherkin or a cishet ally, this blog is a safe space for you. The attempts of otherkin-hating beings to drive wedges in between the queer and kin communities will only weaken us both. Marginalized groups of all kinds are welcome here! We have a fair amount of otherkin/nonhuman admin and are happy to answer any questions pertaining to said identities. This will be a safe space for all.

We are also currently seeking a fictive and/or fictionkin admin to answer questions pertaining to related identities!!! Please message us if you would like to help out. Thank you very much, and have a lovely day/evening.
