In one of your posts, you said that Alicent has ‘refused to see Larys as a man’ and I was wondering what you meant by that. It might just be my poor English but I would love an explanation if that is alright. Much love to you!

What I meant with that is that, by inviting Larys into her chambers, Alicent basically revealed that, in her eyes, Larys was basically stripped of his 'identity as a man'. Would she have invited Jasper Wylde or Tyland Lannyster to have supper with her in her private chambers while she was undressing (even if it was just her shoes with Larys)? Think about the rumours 😱

I think that, for those ten years they gossiped in her rooms while no one has around, Alicent saw him as a sexless companion, not a man whom she could feel desire for or could desire her.

I don't think it was with "malicious intent" that Alicent did that, as from the first time we meet him, Larys has been "put" on a "feminine role" by having him hang out with the ladies at court while "the men go out and hunt". But she did it nonetheless and Larys grew to hate her/resent her for it

the motorcycle story is endlessly funny because hayden talks about it like it's a core memory and ewan's like "oh...yeah...the motorcycle ride we had...paris? no? it was somewhere else? haha yeah i remember hahaha".

it's just such playboy energy. he's taken so many people on his ride he can't get the details straight smh

thinking about show!larys meeting book!alicent.

i think if alicent ever told show!larys that she wanted to bathe in her enemies blood he’d actually die on the spot.

i think he'd come so fast he might pass out 💀

lmao i haven't read the book but tbf i think show larys might not know how to act around book alicent/would be suspicious of her (who, from what i hear is more callous and ruthless) cause what i think he likes about show alicent is that, in a way, he sees himself as the hand guiding her towards aknowledging the dark that lives inside of her. and, also, he revels in her distress, enjoying the way she horrifies/despairs at the acts he commits in "her name".

i think he even enjoys that she's a hypocrite but that's another story

in season 1, is like he wanted to be the one standing by her side as she embraced her darkness and her ambition, which is why he's so discouraged and dispassionate when he sees she no longer longs for the throne herself, she's tired and empty. and she's not even horrified at knowing he's always watching

but yeah, i think he'd be surprised and he'd come in his pants like a teenager but then he'd be like "who are you and what have you done with the dowager queen?"
