@nonjabiru
I think it’s like up to 3-4 times a year for her saying something awful, now lol
rullett replied to your post “i’m still kinda baffled that having divorced parents makes u less...”
like, i get that it can be traumatic to go through a divorce as a kid but trust me, staying with certain parents is guaranteed worse.
yeah of course! i’m not gonna dismiss trauma caused by divorce but unlike, say, race and sexuality, it’s not as easy to say “your parents being still together makes you more privileged”

I think it's a weird American thing where if your parents are divorced they would be seen as failures? I don't know, I know some people that have come from divorced families don't want to get divorced because they don't want their kids to feel upset or feel like it's their fault or whatever.
oh really! i didn’t even consider there would be a shame factor in it. i definitely know of the “kids thinks it’s their fault” stuff and that’s awful, but does it like reflect on the parents too?
that said, we did live a place before they got divorced where divorced/unmarried parents were really rare, and moved to a place were most of my friends had divorced/unmarried/never even together it was just a one night stand parents, and the difference was massive, to be sure.
#I'm amazed more kids didn't walk out#NoVA seems pretty liberal#so I would have thought an Alexandria school would have a larger walkout#I kind of wonder if parents didn't say anything about this#because they didn't know how to talk to kids about what's going on
I believe that school is in the southern part of Alexandria--the further out you get from DC, the more conservative the area gets, and really only the major population centers remain staunchly liberal. But also, like, one of the most infamous current Nazis lived in Arlington and then Old Towne Alexandria, so it’s not like there aren’t pockets of a-holes, too lol

Idk because I don't know what kind of secret group, but I'm pretty sure Melinda May would be completely awesome doing whatever. Look her up. :)
nonjabiru reblogged your post: It’s times like this when I wish I watched AOS. I...
Melinda May comes to mind, but that’s mostly because she’s probably the only main character on the show right now that’s...
See, this is why I wish I watched AOS! I don’t know that I’d do her character (or any of those characters) justice without actually watching the show. On the other hand, I still can’t think of any movie characters that would be suitable, even if I age/de-aged them. That kind of leader quality seems to be either singular or tied up in the Avengers, who can’t fill this role.
Hm. Are there any crash-course Melinda May vids/fics/meta floating around?
