Anyway, some crazy stuff happened over the last three years. I moved a couple times, got a cat, protested a bunch, started a writing club, spent a night in jail, got COVID, finished a DnD campaign, and some other stuff too that I'm probably forgetting.
I'm not entirely sure yet what I want to do with this blog now that I'm on it again, but I hope I can keep writing fun stuff that makes people happy.
Am I back after not posting a single thing in 3ish years? Mayhaps....
Why would someone think that the plain doll is not a monster? She’s got porcelain skin with no bones, muscles, organs, or anything to speak of inside her save the blood of the great ones, was born with a fully matured transcendent consciousness (great ones either needed to transcend (pale moon presence) or mature (Mergo) and never had both right away), and cried crystal tears. She just gots a human look. I mean, C’mon! She’s less human than a doppelgänger and *that* is a monster!
I 100% agree with you anon. The Doll is definitely on some next level Lovecraftian shit. I could just see some folks arguing that she's not physically monstrous enough. For me though, I love that eldritch entity.

The D's are up next and oh my lord theres a lot of them. You'll also noticed I changed tne style of the monster ratings to include a pro and con section rather than a self insert. As much as I enjoy those, they were starting to feel a little dull and repetitive. If you want a specific monster self insert though, always feel free to message me though. Love y'all, stay hydrated.

🕷Monster Manual More Like Waifu Catalogue🕷
So, I've been playing a lot of DnD recently and the joke about the MM being a "Waifu Catalogue" had come up a few times. Here's the thing though, I say, why not?! I'm gonna go A-Z and write little self insert blurbs about every single monster in the DnD 5e Monster Manual, minus the obviously problematic ones (think things that are basically animals).
I'll write a little intro about the creature, do a self insert blurb and then rate the Monster on a scale of 1-10 for how good of a waifu/husbando/partner they would be.

🕷Monster Manual Update 2🕷
Alas, after a long hiatus the B’s are bested! I skipped 3 monsters, just like with A. They are listed and detailed below.
Basilisk
Spectator
Bulette
The Basilisk was skipped because it’s basically just an animal, and we’ve talked about that. It can turn you to stone though, so that’s fun!
The Spectator is another form of Beholder, but it isn’t super interesting enough to warrant another post. They are summoned by mages when they need an entity to guard something for a loooooooooong time.
Finally, the Bulette. It’s basically a land shark that likes to sneak up on things and swallow them whole. That’s getting very close to the forbidden “V” word, so I didn’t do them. Also, they’re cute land sharks! Don’t lewd!
The C’s have some pretty fun monsters, so stay tuned :)
