also, why did Dr. Edwards show Beth that basement door thing with the walkers? it had no point to the story.

Nonny, My assumption is that scene was to show that Beth couldn’t just walk out and that the walkers are what keep some of the less willing staff members in the building? But again, as mentioned before, walkers clearly aren’t much of a threat to team family anymore. Once Beth had a gun, she basically walked out of the building. It was only the cops who were able to stop her.

So much of that hospital was left unexplained. I really wish they had explored it more with Beth. (Though some are theorizing that there is, indeed, more going on that we will find out about in 5b). Just the setting itself held so much potential for interesting stories. Finding out more about the staff/ patients and their experiences. Learning about what happened before dawn. Finding out why dawn was so obsessed with Noah? Figuring out Dr. Edwards... in general (what was up with that guy?!). Or, can you imagine if team family took it over the building? Again, so much wasted potential.
