I don’t get why people are so happy that Mexico is passing onto the next round when they lost the last game. Yeah, they won the last two games and the Republic of Korea won and it helped but what’s there to be proud of? It would’ve been better if they won it and moved on with their merit. The lady at a radio station said to not be salty and to join festivities but I just don’t get it.

It’s because we Mexicans, perhaps yourself as well, we have A LOT of pride of being a soccer fan. People save their money and even beginning selling their own personal items to have the money to travel to the World Cup. And honestly, I think you’re not giving credit to Mexico. BECAUSE Mexico WON the first two games, it gave them SIX POINTS. They WON against Germany, which are the defending champions. They won a game where no one believed in them, shit I didn’t believe in Mexico either 😂 So seeing their efforts go into waste for Argentina’s referee to be calling bullshit calls at the last game and go home, it would of been very disappointing. It’s like you were ALMSOT there but didn’t make it.

South Korea vs Germany: South Korea was essentially playing for pride up that that point and since they won against Germany, that gave Mexico a chance to move to the next round. Now let’s say Germany won, if we use your argument, why let Germany move on?? They lost the first game. Who cares if they won the last two games. They lost the first!!!!

It’s kinda like that, it all adds up points wise, goals and “fair player” points where they tally how many yellow cards you have compared to the other teams.

So to conclude this long ramble, if you don’t understand that’s fine, and thank you for trying to comprehend but there shouldn’t be sole focus on ONE match and the whole group matches should be evaluated at the same length kinda
