my god. tumblr please learn about how an actual nonprofit organization functions.
#surprisingly this is not about ao3#but the minnesota freedom fund post going around#nonprofits have...operating costs#30mil dollars is an insane amount of cash#yes they are using some of it to post bail but a lot of it is probably going to go towards long term sustainability#though this post isn't about ao3 i think it did just prove to me that the annual ao3 drama is indeed about tumblr#being completely ignorant about how nonprofit funding works#i always kind of thought they knew? and were just using that argument because they didn't like the archive?#and now it kinda seems like...they just don't understand 501(c)(3) organizations...#they also just might not understand budgeting#but that's another thing
