I've been watching the first couple of episodes of Hannibal and is it worth watching?? I love all things dark macabre and gothic and I generally thought I had a tough stomach for gore but the whole buried-alive-with-mushrooms thing freaked me tf out. Is it gonna get a whole lot worse than that or is that as bad as it gets?
It gets pretty bad, I’m afraid, and it gets worse than that. I’m sorry though! It’s a really nice style and has a lot of cool food for thought stuff that you really can’t get from any other show I know of, but yeah, it has a lot of that unpleasant stuff. There’s some really great stuff in Hannibal, especially in later episodes, but if that icks you out, then maybe don’t rush into more. If anything, check out summaries/warnings of episodes beforehand so you know what to expect (or skip!).
