Against the lack of stutter in her sentence, her tone remained SHEEPISH. Rain PELTED at the window outside, the classroom secluded apart from the two girls. Everyone else had something else to do while the rain CANCELLED practice-- What with School Counsel duties and costume making for the next Live. Rin was helping Maki with the finishing touches of the song, even if Maki INSISTED she didn’t need any help at all.

This left the two odd ones out in the classroom, Nico insisting that Hanayo DEFINITELY needed practice with posing. So here she was, fiddling nervously with the camera’s settings.

❝ I-I mean, isn’t singing and dancing more important to practice on while we wait for the others...? ❞

    “Nico-chaaan!” Her voice echoed in the school’s hallways as she ran up to greet  her upperclassman,. Honoka dramatically looked every direction in the premises, making sure none of their fellow μ's members were anywhere in sight. “I have a biiig surprise I want to tell you! With the holidays coming up, I thought it would be nice to buy everyone a present or two!”

    Honoka opted to raise her gaze and stand with confidence and pride. She loved this time of year—It was something she had always looked forward to ever since she was younger. “Do you think you could help me? I thought it might be fun to go shopping with you. I don’t know what to get our friends, though.. Maybe you'd be able to give me some tips! Ah, but don’t worry—What I’m getting for you will still be a secret.”

This is a stupid idea, and I doubt I’m going to remember that I wrote this, but she thought it would be a good idea. Said she wanted to keep it somewhere for us to read when we’re older.

Couldn’t say no when she gave me that look. I knew she was the sentimental type with the way shecarries that video camera around, but I didn’t know she’d get me roped into one of her little ideas.

I guess this isn’t so bad. I’m just writing to myself. She’s next to me. I could peek at what she’s writing, but I don’t think she’d like that. Actually, I bet she’d get that look on her face — the one where she puffs her cheeks up and scrunches her eyebrows.

I hope she still makes that look when we’re older. I mean, if we’restill together.

I want us to still be together.

Don’t be stupid and lose her like you lost Ran. I know she trusts me — us. I don’t wanna lose that, ever.

If I read this ten years from now and we did something to lose her, go backand find her. Please. I, honestly, don’t know how I’d handle not having her around. She takes care of me, makes me feel wanted. I’m not just a detective to her. She doesn’t expect me to read her mind or figure out how she’d feeling.

I mean, she’d rather me not know in the first place. I hope she’s opened upto me more in the future.

Oh, also, remember to flick Nico when you get the chance.

Shinichi was realizing just how hard it was sneak in this body, but it wasn’t all that difficult considering most of the maidens (old and young) were off busying themselves. It was only by sheer luck that he found her there, hands grasping her broom and head down.

A large, sly grin stretched at his face. He doubted that he’d really be able to sneak up on her, but he could certainly try. Too bad he didn’t have something cold to stick against her skin, but scooping her into his arms from behind and lifting her up was just as good.

Giving her a little spin and setting her down, he laid a kiss on her cheek before realizing he may have come off as a little cheesy. Not to mention the both of them could get in trouble after the little kissing stunt he pulled not long ago. He saw the way the women at the shrine narrowed their eyes at him, and knew for a fact that he wasn’t welcome.

“I know I shouldn’t be here, but I had to see you.” He scratched at the back of his head and turned a light shade of pink until he noticed how... off everything felt. He wondered if now was a bad time, or if he had managed to screw up and anger her without knowing it. Either way, he appeared a little more sheepish and took a cautious step back.

“Should I go?”

        “I guess that’s another store I can write off.” A little bit of disappointment; that was her favorite--they sold some candy she liked there. Oh well. What was the winning streak? Oh right “Thirteen..that’s the fastest I’ve ever gotten kicked out...weird.”
