Rice With Caution || Little Detective
âItâs okay, really! I donât mind helping.â
The poor thing had already looked so near to tears that he couldnât leave her there without at least offering to help, but it seemed doing so only made her panic more. Confusing, but the offer still stood â and was accepted for a moment.
Conan lifted his hands and shook his head, âI donât need anything in return! This is my fault, too. Iâââ
A long, sudden growl rumbled from deep inside the boyâs stomach. His face became blank until the noise stopped, cheeks turning a soft shade of red when he realized how hungry he was.
âActually, if you donât mindâŚâ
It was his acceptance of her offer that had LIFTED her smile, the slightly-familiar sound of a stomach growling acting as the trumpets that announced the answer she WANTED. Who could REALLY refuse an offer of free food-- Especially when it was being offered to you with the option of you watching it being made? The fact that it was rice-related alone would have sold Hanayo, let alone the satisfaction of knowing that a stranger wouldnât poison said offered food because sheâd be WATCHING.
â Not a problem! Hanayo has to repay you for your help... And rice is one of the best treats you can get for it! â
Lifting up a pile of bags again, she made sure not to carry too many to prevent it from obscuring her sight again. It would be bad form to make a CHILDÂ carry anymore than one or two of the bags, even if he insisted that he wanted to help. She was more than capable of carrying them, regardless.
â Follow me! Iâm sure everyone else would love to meet you! â
