We need to talk about this part of True Colors that crushed me

Eleanor. She looked so terrified that I first thought Mac had threatened her and was hiding in the other room or something. The aura of fear was so overwhelming I thought her life was in danger. Later we find out...

That's not the case.

As soon as it clicked for me, my heart sank. That's what she's afraid of. She was developing (what I assume is) Alzheimer's, and everything about that part of the game had me tearing up because it reminded me so much of my late grandmother. She was just like Eleanor. Terrified as hell. Because this is how she sees the world:

Everything is falling apart and the clock's ticking. It's only a matter of time before she forgets she even works at a flower shop or has a granddaughter.

However, what really got to me was this.

She didn't want Alex to help, because in her mind, she didn't want to be a burden. It reminded me of all the times my own grandma would decline my help or outright deny that she had Alzheimer's. She's already horrified by the idea, but she isolates herself even more. I'm glad that in this game that's not what happened. She met Alex's eyes, blinked away a few tears and smiled.

While she does look reluctant at first, she chooses to accept Alex's offer. And, for a little while, it felt like I'd reconnected with my grandma in a way.

This is why I love the LiS franchise. You find pieces of yourself and the people you love in it. I hope they continue to make stories like this in the future 💙

i still haven't beaten patho classic and the reason for that is that whenever i try to stream it to my friends we get distracted and end up making images like this

i don't even know how this keeps happening but its the most fun i've ever had
