I work with elementary schoolers at a daycare and they’ve all recently become obsessed with weaving potholders which is awesome go fiber arts!!

Except. This means that now second graders are coming up to me and asking, ‘do you know where the looms are?’ At least 3 times per day

Which. Is fine. If you’re a sane person. Which I’m very much not. And it takes me out every single time

pinkie promises aren’t something small or silly to me, no matter how childish they might look from the outside. when i hook my finger with yours, it’s never just a cute moment, it’s me trusting you in the softest, most unguarded way i know. it’s quiet and simple but it carries weight, like a promise made without big words. i don’t make them lightly because to me they mean i won’t hurt you like that and i’m here for real. so if i ever make a pinkie promise with you, just know it comes from a very raw, emotional place in me, and breaking it wouldn’t just feel like breaking a promise, it would feel like breaking something gentle that i chose to believe in.

found a cute spot, stayed for the vibes, left with a sugar rush. Adulting was a 0/10, but this post-errands refuel, a solid 100.

Having an actual field day with Havoc in regards to Narvin being treated as kind of a has-been when it comes to field work..

I really like the idea of seeing his inability to regenerate as a disability and there’s just. Something so delicious to me about him knowing he’s losing the abilities he had access to before (in his current body) and realising for the first time that. He’ll never get that back.

He won’t get faster, more reactive, gain more endurance or strength again. Not in the same way he would have before, at least.

When his body wears out, that’s it. He’s done, he’ll be useless.

And to hear people pointing that out to him, to see his defensiveness over it and his conviction to catch the intruder (whoever that may be, I’m not sure yet) is. GAH it’s something.

He wants desperately to prove himself, to be respected, taken seriously and trusted. But he can’t seem to back it up anymore.

He’s tired.

Maybe he should just give up. Leave it to someone else, become an engineer instead.

That conflict is. Eerily familiar.
