BEING HUMAN (2011 - 2014) 4.03 "Lil' Smokie"
Are there any active blogs that post about Being Human (US)?
Endless List of Favorite Characters: Nora Sergeant (Being Human TV)
“Maybe I don’t want to be safe, maybe I want to be free”
Just caught up on the last two episodes (ever) of Being Human.
Ugh, man. What a way to end it all. Well done.
Aidan gets a door and one last act of heroism and salvation. Sally saved them all. And the pair get to spend their afterlife together.
And Josh and Nora get a future; a chance to make a life for themselves and their two appropriately named children.
What a finale. I'm going to miss this show.
Being Human, then Being Dead :/
Too bad there is no confirmation of life after death for the rest of us. We are stuck on the couch (or in bed) wishing it could end like that for us. *Sniffles* So YES - thank you SyFy for serving up a delicious plate of simple enough "resolution," which apparently some shows just can't deliver. <cough> LOST <cough> Any how, to sum it up, Sally sacrifices herself to save Josh from being killed by Aidan which turns him into a human again. All of the gang is pretty upset that she is gone, especially Aidan who surprisingly seems a little too upset. This of course makes me wonder if, at the time of the sacrifice, perhaps Aidan gained the memories of being with Sally in the alternate time line. No matter! Turns out Aidan's human body starts catching up to his age and he only has a little bit of time left before he goes into organ failure. Josh and Nora try to help him get through it by sharing time with him, and he surprises them by spilling Nora's secret pregnancy. Aw, this time I think they are ready for it.
Anyways, eventually Aidan starts acting like the Aidan we all know (selfish) by trying to get a vamp to turn him back again and Josh spoils his plan and gets him to admit that he is afraid of dying. As cliche as this sounds, I really liked that they included this moment because it was a huge part of the character's personality. Aidan was always wanting something that he never could appreciate fully.
Sadly, it doesn't matter cause... dun Dun DUN - that freaking weirdo Beatrice (I will forever hate that name now) AKA the HOUSE - draws them all back, but not before Aidan dupes Josh into believing he will actually keep his word and show up at the house at the same time to battle it together. Who didn't see that coming? Okay, I'll admit the rest of the show had me in tears but good tears. Aidan succumbs to the killer house, but not without taking it down with him. (That's right, DIE B*TCH, lol) Josh and Nora show up and see ghost Aidan - say a few words and ... a door appears. Aw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then as they say their goodbyes, Aidan goes through and Sally is there to kiss him ... EVEN MORE AWWWWWWW!!!!! - and I know so many people already probably mentioned this but how freaking awful was the timing on the commercial? Right? So, there we go. :( All seems resolved except in the last few moments (and a flash forward), we see Nora and Josh waking up from a dream in which both Sally and Aidan were in. Was it really them haunting their dreams? I hope so cause that makes me feel warm inside. Then, at last, the cutest thing ever -> The werewolf couple rises from the ground, surrounded by a field of wild grass, calling out to their *twins* (boy and a girl) whose names are... You guessed it. :) <melts> Too fucking perfect. I love it.
THANK YOU SYFY
I don't believe in "tear jerkers". It just doesn't make any sense to cry during a movie or show, but today, I watched the last episode of Being Human (S4 E13). It was heart breaking, but it was everything I've ever wanted since I first started watching the show. I've been watching this show since it first came out, and because of that, I've had the opportunity to grow with the characters. I know that most people don't see shows in that way, but character development is everything to me. I saw each character struggle through what seemed like the toughest times in their lives. You wait and you wait for each episode to come out. It's like you're dying to see if one of the characters will be okay or if someone dies or if everything falls apart. In this last episode, we see the main characters go through something that seems so real, yet so impossible. And it really does break your heart, but at the same time, you're kind of happy too. They try to stay strong for one another. They put their lives on the line for each other. And unfortunately, two of my favorite characters die trying to save the people they care about most. It's crazy and twisted, but it was an amazing ending. THANK YOU SYFY.
all my feels
i don't normally do text posts ever! but i just had to get all of these feelings out!
I was never an avid Being Human US watcher cause i went through ALL the pain that was Annie/Mitchell in the original & i just refused to watch the US remake but over the years i'd catch different episodes & such. So i was never a huge fan, until recently. When i saw Sally & Aiden in 4x08 i fell completely in love. So then i marathoned the entire 4 seasons and caught up to the recent eps. Then i fell in love with EVERYTHING on the show. The epic bromance between Josh & Aidan the holy trio that is Josh, Aidan, & Sally. The brilliance of Nora & what she brings to the trio. The loves between Josh & Nora and Sally & Aidan. The character development in all the characters. Josh struggling with his wolf. Aidan struggling with his lust and hunger with blood. Sally coming to grips with herself and her death. Just everything about this series was beautiful.
& with the finale of the series airing tonight i cried so much. I watched the ep 3 x's already & cry throughout every time. The ending was probably one of the most satisfying endings i've seen in a very long time. Just every thing that happened was perfect. The final scenes between all of them together. The final scene between Josh & Aidan. The final scene between Josh, Aidan and Nora. The finale scenes between Aidan and Sally. & the final scene between Josh & Nora.
Okay i had/have a lot of feelings about this show & i don't want to let go of it just yet.... gonna be in my Being Human bubble for awhile.
OMG Twins and they named them Sally and Aidan.
Great ending :D
I'm going to miss this show so much.
