What had started as almost a blessing, Zoe was swiftly labeling a curse. The snow walling them in, even if it had slowed and stopped before completely burying them. But the roads looked impassable, the air still too frozen to allow the ice to melt, and food supplies were low and limited. They might’ve been caged in with enough ammo to last the next year, but that wasn’t all it took to keep them alive.
Despite the bitter temperatures, it’s too much to keep her inside. They’ll have to find a way forward sooner or later, or least something salvageable around them, and the maps she’d hoarded away would only help so much. She heads for the doors outside, bundled up in heavy layers that would hopefully cut out some of the wind and leather gloves that shouldn’t impede her ability to pull the trigger on the gun at her side if it came down to it.
Her steps slow when she finds Nora already close to them, a nod of her head at the entrance as she focuses on the woman. “How’s it look out there?"
