i know this was probs v stressful but like... "i think i accidentally bought a bed" was the most beautiful thing i have read today. amazing. but i'm glad it worked out as well. but also amazing.

i called right after placing the order and they said "our system is down call back at 8 am"

i called at 8 am and they said "yeah i don't see it on my end so it didn't go through don't worry"

i got a confirmation email that it WENT THROUGH around 1 pm so i called and asked to cancel and they were like "we can't cancel within 24 hours, call back tomorrow" which is ridiculous

i just called them now and asked to cancel and they were like "we can't cancel, it's been processed" at which I got kinda fucking mad

they forwarded me to a customer service line where they finally cancelled it (supposedly) but i'm not sure i trust them so i'm gonna call back tomorrow to make sure

this one time we watched CATS, the musical, in my seventh grade choir class

and I loved the hell out of it--still do--but I couldn't express my enjoyment because everyone else thought it was stupid and made fun of it the whole time

and there was this one kid, brendon (whom I had a crush on, not that that's relevant to the story) who said something about grizabella--I don't remember what he said exactly. I think it was just something neutral and descriptive, but he said it in a sympathetic tone of voice. and this other kid mockingly said, "do you feel sorry for her, brendon?"

and that, children, was my first introduction to toxic masculinity
