People say that Blackpool Tower is a less impressive copy of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This is Blackpool's version of the Arc de Triomphe.

Several decades ago, a number of additions were made to the promenade at Norbreck, Blackpool, as part of a scheme to create work for youths. One of the additions was a stone arch, which became unsafe, and had to be removed. Only the foundations remain.
