I just wanted to show yall Week 0, Week 1 and Week 2. And show myself. I really am getting in shape yall. And it feels so gooood.
Peace everyone. Week 2 was definitely an improvement. I was MUCH better with staying vegetarian except on Friday night when I had fish and half a chicken egg roll. It was a special egg roll and I had to try it. But after eating the fish and chicken, I realize it didn’t appease me. I preferred my vegetarian chili which had more flavor and more vitamins
One reason this week went better is because I kept repeating my 2017 resolution to myself: GET IN SHAPE!
This week, I realized I need to respect the journey. After 2 weeks, I was looking for my Yonce body and when I didn’t see it, I realize this I usually the time that I start slacking. But then I reailized, like Rome, Yonce wasn’t built in a day. I must be patient and enjoy the journey and humble myself to the work.
Because of my diet and exercise habit, my energy, ability to focus and mental clarity has been increasing. I have been feeling so positive and I am excited to see what week 3 will feel like.
So here are my goals:
1. Eat vegan -I ate meat Friday when I ate some fish and 1/2 half a chicken egg roll, and a bite of mac & cheese from my friends’ plates at happy hour. It was ok. Not as good as my green smoothie or chilli. I will do better.
2. Work out 5 times a week - I missed a day. Though I did walk a lot on Friday, I did not work out and I also missed working out Wednesday. But I worked out for 3 hours today (Sunday) trying to get those days back. I don’t feel bad though. I blasted at Martial arts Thursday. Those are very hard workouts and I keep getting better
3. Morning Yoga EVERYDAY for 15+ minutes- Again I missed one day, Wednesday. But I got two yoga sessions in today to replace the missed day. Yoga has been so helpful with my flexibility and poster. the one reason my belly shrinked (or looks like it shrank) is because my poster decreases the food baby look. I really enjoy the youtube yogis Yoga by Candance and Boho Beautiful but I NEED some black yogis to represent. Know of any?
4. Morning Meditation, Prayer and Affirmations - I have been saying my own affirmations this week as it was my first week back at work. I just repeat “I choose love over fear” and “Magic is easy my dear, just believe in something and let it happen”. I feel my universe really connecting to my thoughts. Meditation and prayer has helped me really get through this week and stay focused on my goals as I’m building a new mindset.
5. Post once a week- Done and done!
6. Journal EVERY night - I didn’t journal much this week. I been going to sleep to late so from now on, I plan to put myself in my bed at 930pm and start journaling myself to sleep. I’ll let you know.
7. HAVE FUN - One reason I didn’t workout Wednesday is because I was with my homegirl. I had went to happy hour Friday and a party Saturday. Life has been so smooth and I just allow myself to feel happy. Also my developing lifestyle has me feel so sexy. I am enjoying this!
OK! Thank you for reading again. Keep up the great work WARRIORS!
Fitness Update
Peace Family,
Thank you for rocking with me. So…i’ve been failing. I ate sooo much sugar this past week and I don’t know why other than the fat I’ve been confused about life. I let myself eat meat and cheese too. Just all of my vegan goal. I know aiming toward perfection can lead me (and others) down a road of fear that leads to failure. I have been going to martial arts but not as regular as I did January - March. I missed 3 classes and April and 1 class so far this month.
I have not been keeping up with my sleep, my y journaling or my mediation and yoga. I have been staying up later (like now) and thus waking up later and thus no ton top of my shit. Anyways, I need to get back on my house. And I will. This week is going to be kinda chill at work and I don’t have Saturday school to teach. I will rest that is my one and only goal this week. Be in bed by 9:30/ be awake by 5am.. All other goals shall come easy after that. PRAY FOR ME warriors. SENDING YALL LOVE!
Peace everyone. SO I got through week 1. I was not good with my food regime but I was proud that I worked out everyday!
Remember my 2017 resolution... GET IN SHAPE!
This week eating wasn’t good. I gotta stay away from corner stores. They got all the crack snacks: tasty cakes, chips, juice. NO MORE. But, i was 90% vegetarian this week and my holiday food baby definitely went a way (i.e, I went #2 everyday)
However, working out went pretty good. It was hard starting. Shout out to Dailyburn.com and Fitnessblender.com for the yoga and workout routines. the highlight of my week was busting out 600 martial arts push ups on Thursday beating the two young men who were doing them with me (both young men under 23) #showingoff.
During my Friday afternoon workout, I realized my willpower and discipline increased. Working out is getting easier each day. I just keep pushing myself through difficult workout routines thinking positive and visualizing my goals.
So here are my goals:
1. Eat vegan -I ate meat, cheese, eggs, whipped cream and had milk in my latte. I did not do well with this goal AT ALL but I seen progress still thus I KNOW when I do eat #vegan, it will be even better results.
2. Work out 5 times a week - Monday I did my workout at home. But I did my Wednesday on Thursday and the Friday workout on Sunday because I did not manage my time well. However, I’m proud I got those days. Then on Tuesday and Thursday, I had martial arts. It went great but I realize I must have more self-control and patience because I am stagnant with my progress.
3. Morning Yoga EVERYDAY for 15+ minutes- I only missed ONE day of Yoga, Saturday. I did wake up early to meet my friends for our creative writing circle (they stood me up). But all my other days went great!
4. Meditation, Prayer and Affirmations - I am proud to say I have not missed one day of meditation or prayer. This will be most necessary for my first few weeks back to work. WINTER BREAK IS OVER :-(. I love Louise Hay Affirmations. I play her in the morning and repeat after her as I make my morning tea.
5. Post once a week- Done!
6. Journal EVERY night - I journaled every day but not at night time. I will definitely be on this with this week
7. HAVE FUN - I had a great time with friends this week. I reconnected with some dope people in my last week of break. But the most fun I had was working out and meditating with my self. Visualizing a bright future ahead!
OK! Thank you for reading. I gotta go to sleep it’s WAY pass my bedtime. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! Let’s Get fit!
