I'm back in the building with these two.
It's Dawn!
Dawn had swept across Zenith, the sun barely peeking out from the horizon. Although almost everyone in the Order was asleep, there was a certain prince who woke up at this ungodly hour.
Normally, Alfonse would wake up at around this time and prepare for early sword practice -- perhaps even spar with any of the heroes that were awake. However, there was currently one obstacle he had to overcome.
The tiny tactician who currently had a death grip on him.
Ever since the two became a couple, Alfonse suggested that they share a bed. He was afraid to admit this to Norrie, but the prince had been experience a reoccurring nightmare involving her death, so seeing her snoozing peacefully would help calm his nerves whenever he woke up.
He did not know that sleeping with Norrie was essentially sleeping with a fluffy cat. She had her arms wrapped around his chest while her legs were tangled with his. Basically, it was an impossible knot of limbs that Alfonse was trapped under.
He would never dare to wake up the slumbering tactician. Norrie already had too much difficulty falling asleep as it is, he would hate to reduce her sleep time even more. But... his sword practice...
As he began to plot a way to escape Norrie's grip, the prince was interrupted by a tiny murmur. He looked down and could faintly hear Norrie mumbling some sort of nonsense.
"Mm... love you..."
Curious, the Askran prince stroked her hair. "Hm? Who do you love...?"
"Alfie..." Came the quiet reply of his beloved.
Alfonse felt his heart melt at the sudden realization of what had just occurred.
He never even thought he would ever experience such domesticity in his life. After shutting his heart out all those years, Norrie managed to make her way through and the prince was ever so grateful for her.
Here they were, sharing a bed. They would get up and get dressed together. Norrie would help him with his armor, while Alfonse would make sure Norrie's bow is tight enough. Perhaps they could brush each other's hair as they prepare for the day. Better yet, they could be on kitchen duty together and cook breakfast together. Sure, they were at war, but there was some sort of domestic charm to all those actions.
He was interrupted again when he heard the familiar whimpering of his tiny tactician. She seemed to nuzzle herself closer into Alfonse, shivering slightly.
Acting quickly, the Askran prince covered her up with another layer of blanket, and she sooned settled back down. He placed a gentle kissed on her forehead as he closed his eyes.
"Rest well, Norrie..."
Sword practice can wait.
I look into your eyes and I Think back to the son of mine You're as old as he was When I left for war
Bet that byleth is going to grab Claude by his ear and make him be alfonse’s sparing partner for getting norrie smitten with him.
I’m sure it’ll be a fine matchup~
Alfonse is going to get jealous of Claude for getting norrie’s attention.
“Alfonse? Oh no! He’s only a little jealous!”
A4 for more and alfonse!
Haha just. More Alfonse. We need more!
This is also canon though. Norrie is super shy so giving kisses from behind is her specialty!
Possibilities
One of my many upcoming Norfonse drabbles. We’ve got a pregnant Norrie dealing with some anxiety~
Also, I mention @lunalove25‘s OC Freya and a little headcanon so shout out to you!
If norrie died because of the curse, I think that alfonse wouldn’t be able to look at baby Zach in the face because he reminds him of norrie so much.
I feel like Alfonse would be even more protective of his son, because this child is what he and Norrie had together. He may have failed his wife, but he would never fail his son. In fact, he pays a lot of attention to Zachy, making she he doesn't fall ill (Norrie had terrible health), get hurt, or fall prey to the enemy. Not only that, but Norrie constantly worried about Zachy, so leaving Alfonse's son behind would be like betraying Norrie. Overall, Alfonse is even more concerned about Zachy's safety and tries to be there for his son as a way to compensate for his failures.
