   she doesn't even notice him at first. soft green hedgehog jumps when strive's voice meets the air / quills sticking up and out as head whips around / relaxing once recognition settles in. “ don't scare me like that ! ” words are spoken with a laugh, obviously not seriously upset by being startled.

   “ you think so ? ” there's curiosity in her words, golden gaze turning back out to the scenery before them. hedgehogs could be found sat at the edge a little clearing within woods / off the beaten path and overgrown with wildflowers / a small stream before them, but flowing a good ways away. the day's golden hour certainly made it an appealing sight — more than it already was.

   “ i like t' come out here when ... ” words trail off, eyes blinking yet unreadable. hm ... it looks as though there are words waiting to leave her mouth, but they never do / maybe forgotten halfway through speaking like what's happened in the past / there's no need to really talk about it. “ never thought about napping out here. ” not that she's disagreeing with the notion. gaze then turns down to lotus' lap where a notebook lay, pen idly fidgeting in her hands. fresh, empty — a replacement for what was lost. quiet once more, aside from rushing water and soft breeze.
