I just find it quite funny how mark ruffalo played in a movie focused on all the systematic discrimination faced by the LGBTQ+ community and yet was the first one to defend someone who's part of the institution known to systematically oppress said community.

It's almost as if straight actors do know have empathy and sensitivity to actually grasp with their heteronormative minds all the shades of queer lives landscape

Activist & playwright Larry Kramer was born June 25 1935. Kramer is the founder of the Gay Men's Health Crisis one of the very first organizations to raise funds for and provide services to people with AIDS. Later in 1987, Kramer was the catalyst in the founding of the infamous organization ACT UP. He is also the writer of the play The Normal Heart.
