SIMON RILEY HEADCANONS!

I know I touched on some heavier headcanons, so I'm going to provide some that are less heavy, and don't leave us sad. So this is what Simon enjoys.

Simon likes the fall. It's cooler out, he can wear his sweatshirt, he can enjoy the change in season, and it smells nice. A hot cup of tea has never tasted so good!

He really does try to like spicy food, but he's pretty basic. He can't handle hyper spicy food, but he likes the smell of it. When they were in Las Almas, he realized he fucking loved Alejandro's cooking, and did everything to become a brother with the man! Also, his wife was lovely, and she has a gentle smile. He appreciated her for that.

He's introverted, not antisocial. He picks and chooses who he spends time with. Price is actually the person he spends the most amount of time with. The man has worked with him the longest, and *gets* him. So they don't have to fill the air with words; they can sit in silence, enjoy a glass of bourbon, and then go about their business.

His ideal date is being at someone's home and preferably them cooking. He can cook. But it's basic. Calories in, calories out. Protein, macros, nutrients needed. It's not about making something that he fantasizes about. He cooks to be sufficient. But if someone can cook, and make him feel cared for and not coddled? Man is contemplating marriage.

On the topic of being cared for. He doesn't want to be babied, patronized, and made to feel lesser than. He's a self-sufficient man, a lieutenant, the Ghost. He knows how to take care of himself. So the person who is in his life has to show the same abilities. When it comes to taking care of him, it's the small things he notices. When he's exhausted and tired after being back from deployment? Letting the dogs out and putting the kettle on and automatically getting his cup of tea set up before he rises is something he notices. Being able to go the whole day and not be inundated with a million texts is big. Not having a huge welcome home party when he walks through the door, but a smile and, "Hey, babe. Making dinner." - he fucking loves that!

He likes dogs. Especially smart ones and big stupid ones. Tiny ones? They're fine, but he worries he might step on them and hurt them.

Intellectual people are the most attractive to him. I'm not talking about super snobby fucks, I'm talking about someone who is genuinely intelligent and makes it a priority in their life to be educated on things. He doesn't like someone who purposefully plays damsel in distress. He doesn't appreciate it when someone plays dumb for attention. He appreciates independence and intelligence. He's been in the military long enough to have seen people make stupid mistakes and decisions, and he sure as hell will not be someone's stupid mistake or decision.
