Steamroller League Game 3
Played game 3 of the local steamroller league this evening. Still no pictures because my phone had to be used for time keeping.
We had both pretty much locked ourselves for this game, and I had to play Saeryn vs his pMakeda list, the lists were:
Saeryn, Omen of Everblight - WB: +5
- Angelius - PC: 9
- Carnivean - PC: 11
- Ravagore - PC: 10
- Scythean - PC: 9
- Shredder - PC: 2
- Naga Nightlurker - PC: 5
Blighted Nyss Shepherd - PC: 1
The Forsaken - PC: 2
Blighted Nyss Grotesques - Leader & 9 Grunts: 6
Archdomina Makeda (p) (+5)
* Molik Karn (11)
* Titan Gladiator (8)
* Basilisk Krea (4)
* Aptimus Marketh (3)
Paingiver Beast Handlers (Leader & 3 Grunts) (2)
Cataphract Cetrati (Leader & 5 Grunts) (11)
Nilhilators (Leader & 9 Grunts) (8)
Tyrant Commander & Standard Bearer (3)
Swamp Gobbers Bellows Crew (1)
Mortitheurge Willbreaker (2)
Saxon Orrik (2)
The scenario was Rally Point. We both pretty much deployed heavily on the opposing zone's side.
The game itself was pretty one sided with his army easily holding of my army, but at the same time not being able to advance into my zone.
A long story short, it ended with a loss for me. And although he played a decent game, it was mostly because of bad luck. For example: My Carnivean and Ravagore did only 15 damage to his Titan Gladiator over two turns, and a turn or two later Saeryn and the Naga Nightlurker couldn't manage to kill a Willbreaker despite hitting with a Hellfire, a dagger and the Naga's shooting attack (boosted damage). Beyond that my Scythian failed to even hit Molik Karn over two turns.
I was lucky he only sent a token force into the zone closer to him, so that I could dominate it one turn and almost do it the next as well. All in all I managed to get two Scenario Points while he didn't get any.
With only the Skorne-players 3rd game vs the Cryx-player I played in my first game left, for me not to go on to the finals the Skorne-player will have to win his game with at least 4 Scenario Points and 28 army points taken.
Interesting indeed. Who knows what will happen.
