Thank you for sharing both ‘fuckboy grand prix’ and ‘improv camping trip’ because now I need to do the 2nd one
improv camping trip is just a camping trip of the improv team. the most "improv" we did was deciding what voices to read """scary""" stories in. doing improv when drinking is something i have never found interesting or funny, really

24 hr laundromat? Perkins? Denny's? Cafe area of a 24 hr grocery store? Your local cooperatively owned cafe that's open until 4 am?
there are no denny's in my immediate area (which, what the fuck?), I don't know of any 24 hour grocery stores near me, and tho midtown and virginia highland have a bunch of those cafés, they all close early I don't think we have Perkins, and I'd feel really weird writing at a laundromat. not because I have something against laundromats, but because I get really anxious about taking advantage of an establishment without using the establishment for its intended purpose (i.e. using the bathroom at a restaurant without ordering something, etc.) and something's bothering me about the idea of writing at Waffle House? which is weird because I eat there at 2 AM all the time? ??? I dunno. the main problem here is that even now with the internet and the amount of info google's indexed there's still no easy way to look up a comprehensive list of 24 hour or late-night restaurants and other consumer-oriented establishments in yr local area. or at least for the atlanta area (trust me I've looked)

maybe try taking notes? codecademy just kind of throws things at you and assumes you’ll remember them which doesn’t just happen by itself
true, I guess. and I'm considering trying again with a different language soon, which is why I made that post in the first place. I haven't given up. I'm just pretty convinced at this point that I'm just not cut out for it. my other big problem is that I always seem to have the one problem that nobody else is having? maybe I'd be a good beta tester like I tried to use Inform a few years back and again recently, not because I specifically wanted to learn it as a programming language (it's kind of natural language and not a real programming language) but so I could start making interactive fiction, because it's a language commonly used in the community. and so I made a small game to test out how it worked, and pretty quickly I ran into two or three problems that were nowhere in their documentation (I could check my old files, but I believe there was an issue with having something attached to something while being detachable—I think it was a lampshade?—and a safe with a picture frame in front of it) and because the syntax is so succinct—"Closet is a room. The BBC Office is north of the closet. In the closet there is a book."—there was really nothing I could do, and there were occasionally problems where I'd use the exact right syntax, even ending up having to adapt it from dev-created tutorials, only to have compiling just straight up fail. I dunno, man

OK #maybeitsmadness, you asked for it.
Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them!
(I'm cheating because I don't have ten friends on tumblr -- I'm new here. :P No pressure to do this even if I've tagged you.)
