I know I haven't posted a zero waste weekly in a while. It's coming soon, promise. For now I want to share what an orginaztion at my school is doing today. They painted this red X all over the place (with permission). In one og the biggest coom on areas at school they set up a table where they can draw the X on your hands. The X is to bring attention to modern slavery. There are more slaves today then ever before. They are not just overseas with no relation to us. THEY ARE IN THE USA. Those that are overseas could BE MAKING YOUR STUFF. We need to be aware. Bring attention to the issue. If something at home doesn't seem right, TELL SOMEONE. If possible, BUY FAIR TRADE OR AT LEAST ENSURE SLAVERY WAS NOT PART OF YOUR STUFF. I think slavery is one of the worst crimes. Slavery is to deny someone of their humanity and individuality. We need to #Endit.
