　　𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐃𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐑𝐒 since she had become the proprietress of the vesuvius. after all, she was a friendly face for so many lonely men up and down hollywood boulevard and she rarely took a night off, making her the most steady presence many of them had. and though she would never take advantage of that, they did often bring her gifts.

　　still, few were able to walk in virtually unseen and surprise her like he did. one moment she was attempting to polish the glass-- something best left for the janitor, she knew as soon as she started-- and then he and his bouquet were there. it took her a moment or two to even remember her character.

"Dude, there's no way I smell like wet dog. I just showered this mornin' after I went for a run! I even used the body butter stuff that feels weird and smells like cookies!" A lengthy pause came with a soft pout. "It doesn't taste like cookies, though. I saved you the trouble of tryin' it."

　　she hadn't even heard his footsteps as he came behind her and put his equally cold hands on her shoulders. it made her tense up even more before the gentle rubbing eventually let her relax and droop into him.

　　' could you start the fire? ' she managed in a soft voice, not yet turning back to look at him.
