IN the future, the Earth is a Hellish dystopia where the vast majority of the populace is imprisoned and the environment is polluted beyond the care of those with the power to repair it. And to top it all off, those motherfucking aliens are poisoning the sun! You are volunteered on a suicide mission to travel to one of their satellite bases and then use a ship with their own technology to land on the facility on THE SUN where they are performing the dirty deed.

Malcolm wasn’t done creating Master Levels-styles maps but No Sun marks a huge turning point in his authorial career, leading to his partnership with John Bye for The Talosian Incident. This is a narrative-based level and it’s a large one, too, based mostly around combat shotgun action. Nevermind the bit about being in a space base that’s literally built on the sun.
