    “I was weakened in the heat,” he answered curtly while stirring with equally sharp movements, “Also, I had not eaten.”

It’s my 18th in 5 days  holy shit

Holy shit I beat Final Fantasy 3 after almost 10 years.

Contributing factors to why it was sitting on my shelf for nearly a decade:

1) dungeons have no save points

2) the final dungeon is super long

3) the final dungeon has a 10 minute long cutscene you can’t skip and in fact have to manually advance dialog for

4) the final dungeon is also a boss rush

5) I got my ass kicked by the final boss (number 10 of 10 in that dungeon alone, mind) nine or ten years ago and didn’t want to do all that again.

But the fact that I never beat it fully was a constant tiny little annoyance, so I finally sat down and ground out a few levels while watching some streams and . . . eventually almost lost to the boss again, because she is very mean.  But then I killed that mean ol’ Cloud of Darkness, and that’s why you should never give up.
