Situations where I am okay with characters getting shot:
When it’s a realistic consequence of their job and they don’t die
When it’s for the angst and they don’t die
When they’ve made a stupid decision, but they still don’t die
When it makes sense for the situation and they don’t die
When they don’t die
Situations where I am NOT okay with characters getting shot:
When they’ve literally gone through hell, had nearly their entire family taken from them, been betrayed by the only other family they had, gone through shit and are about to complete the final thing that will keep massive numbers of people from dying AND THEN THEY GET SHOT AND DIE WHILE SAVING EVERYONE DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE SURVIVED LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE THAT SHOULD HAVE KILLED THEM!!!! BUT NO A FUCKING BULLET IS WHAT TAKES THEM OUT!!!!
