I've seen what some people say, but i think the stream was actually pretty in character and made more sense than one would assume at first; a lot of it relating to techno, obviously

arguement against steve? the dude literally gave up a fight he was going to win for his horse, no attachment to people? animals! hell, their entire house, now ranboo's as well, is literally filled with all kinds of pets and mobs they're attached to; so I'm really not surprised about that.

bad being a bit more of a one arguement man today i think was caused, partially, by ant's not showing up, which caused him to think of a plan on the spot, and i believe he mentioned before that sometimes rp gets too overwhelming for him, so carrying a requirement mission with an opposition and a sarcastic, 4th wall breaking, already powerful dude wasn't the easiest job to do alone; he tried really well though, in my opinion.

despite ranboo escaping, the egg definitely did something to him already: can't hurt bad, talking about thing's he's done, etc. yeah, that boy ain't ok

now on the hot, hot topic of discussion: ranboo finally opening up to someone about the voice.

could there have been more to that 'conversation'?

absolutely

however there was suddenly a bear's life on the line and we all know how much more techno cares about his pets than people;

would it have gone a lot more different if techno engaged more in the roleplay though?

not exactly

yes, techno could've sat and listened and comforted ranboo about his clear trauma and they'd bond over likeness of issues and character, and everyone would be happier and the problem will be talked out, but first? the world doesn't work like that even irl, and second?

this is techno,

the majorly emotionly detached, shut off dude with trust issues and comedy and sarcasm as a coping mechanism, already feeling hurt by multiple betrayals from his pov, and, let's not sugar coat it, seeing a very clear resemblance of the latest techno-tommy alliance.

we know he rarely shows emotion and openness to anyone other then phil, but he does care and his actions often speak louder then his words: for instance, today? did he delve into ranboo's trauma and help him emotionally? hell no, but he helped him in action, at his own expense, multiple times, as well as actually saying out loud that the guy's "alright" (and coming from techno that's definitely something) hell, man threw down pearls with no second thought, "yes of course take my insanely treasured trident and get out please immediately"

and as saddening as it is, he's gone the same route of deflecting and emotion walling with tommy, which is why after their parting techno has even more walls up; but even despite that, his general intuition in these situations is to joke and distract the other from the problem (even if that does include breaking the 4th wall lol)

so, to summ up:

if we put the situation's "hinderances" (i would legit be so upset though if steve died there bruh) aside as well as, honestly, techno probably legitimately forgetting to continue it and just speak rp wise:

was how techno reacted and brushed it off a good thing to do? of course not

are a lot of his thoughts, stances and morals great? fuck no

was it true to character?

a hundred percent.

I might sound weird for saying this, but sometimes I cry watching nature documentaries. This is because I get so overwhelmed at how beautiful our planet is and how amazing the lifeforms that inhabit it are. I feel this absolute need to protect this planet of ours...

But also when I think about the circumstances of our existence, I am just so blown away at how damned near impossible it is that we exist, and yet we do. Think about it...our planet happened to have the exact conditions needed to harbor life, and it thrived. We are somehow exactly the right distance away from the sun to not be burned or freeze over. And we are still looking for life on other planets and consider ourselves lucky if we can even find a cellular life form. But our planet has something as complex as humans and millions and millions of other lifeforms everywhere you look, with many that have still yet to be discovered.

Be grateful that you’re alive, because you overcame insurmountable odds just to be here, and now matter how small we may be in the grand scheme of things, we’ve made a ripple. We are so incredibly blessed...
