So sad to see this beautiful anime come to an end🥺
Nakamura was a deeply relatable character to me and reminded me of how I handled my crushes growing up (not well, lmao).
While I was disappointed at how the last episode turned out, in a way, the ending was oddly refreshing for me, in light of recent shows and stories in the media that betrayed their queer audience. I’m sure we all know the ones that I'm referring to.
Hirose and Nakamura managed to get exponentially closer in the end, and they were both finally able to express their feelings to each other in a deeper way. I also loved to hear that, even though their relationship wasn't confirmed to be romantic, Nakamura still didn't give up on his love for Hirose. The character development was on point and I think it definitely leans more towards an uplifting message for LGBTQ youth, contrary to how the manga concluded.
But anyways... I love our boys to pieces and will deeply miss my weekly routine of waiting for the next episode to air. I also wanted to say, I don't see enough people talking about how truly hilarious this show was at times. There were many instances where I was actually doubled over in laughter. These voice actors gave so much depth to these characters and brought them to life in ways I couldn't have ever expected when I first started watching. I definitely feel a Nakamura and Hirose shaped hole forming in my heart right about now.
