GREAT news for people (me) who like playing as ashe, neon junction is an absolute snipers alley for her in particular. its so beautiful the way i can tear through the enemy team like theyre made of cardboard no matter if im on attack or defense there <3

emre also pretty good on the new map! especially on defense. throw grenades at attacker spawn door a sec before it opens, leave them half-dead the moment they step outside 👍

im not a "strategy" person by any means but this is just my 2 cents based on experience lol

this is probably not an original idea by any means, but im gonna do my own take on assigning dnd classes to overwatch characters; post will be categorized by hero role

DISCLAIMER: my knowledge of dnd is, admittedly, fairly limited, and mostly comes from having played through baldurs gate 3 several times. but whateverrr fuck it, we ball ^_^ oh yeah also this post is long.

D.Va: artificer, i think... mainly because tokki is an artificial construct, so like... yeah

Domina: could be artificer, but maybe sorcerer instead?

Doomfist: now, technically i think monk is the usual unarmed combat class, and i guess that COULD work for him, but i think fighter would be a better choice

Hazard: uhh... man, i dunno, maaaaaybe he could be a warlock? dont ask me to explain the reasoning on that though

Junker Queen: barbarian, imo

Mauga: not really sure, probably fighter but if anyone else has a better idea feel free to share it

Orisa: oh! she could be a fighter... as a centaur!

Ramattra: monk, ofc, but maybe multi-classed as a... warlock? im not 100% sure on that

Reinhardt: paladin, fighter, or multi-classing as both, pretty easy

Roadhog: hehehehe... roguehog.

Sigma: wizard! a gravity wizard, even (though maybe he could be a warlock instead? i could see either)

Winston: another wizard! he casts lightning bolt ofc

Wrecking Ball: artificer, once again because of the mech

Zarya: she could ALSO be a gravity wizard

Anran: sorcerer or wizard, either way she has lots of fire spells

Ashe: ranger! BOB is her familiar, perhaps?

Bastion: a ranger, with ganymede as a familiar :)

Cassidy: uhhhhhhhhhh ranger

Echo: not sure about a specific class (possibly sorc?), but she would definitely be a changeling so far as species goes

Emre: oh, you mean the entire reason im making this list? hear me out now. WARLOCK. his patron is chernobog... DONT ask me about my most recent bg3 run that barely made it past act 1 before i decided to restart again unless you want me to inflict some very particular ideas on you

Freja: ranger. probably doesnt have a familiar though

Genji: fighter/rogue multi-class?

Hanzo: ranger, with some kind of dragon familiar

Junkrat: artificer with a LOT of explosives in his inventory...

Mei: wizard with lots of ice spells! you could say she would be a... blizzard wizard!! please dont throw that tomato at me-

Pharah: ranger... artificer? i feel like thats definitely a weird combo, but i dunno, she doesnt really fit into any typical dnd archetypes so maybe a weird combo is just right for her

Reaper: eeeeeeeeeeehhh uhhh... well for one hes definitely undead, secondly maybe hes a rogue but idk

Sierra: i feel like ive put a lot of rangers up in here but whatever, it suits her; dorothy is her familiar... bird? idc what blizzard says, it is NOT a butterfly, its straight-up a falcon

Sojourn: sure, one more ranger, why not

Soldier 76: fighter, just makes sense lol

Sombra: definitelyyyy a rogue

Symmetra: artificer, of course

Torbjorn: another artificer

Tracer: could be a rogue

Vendetta: definitely fighter, could be barbarian multi-class maybe (thinking of her onslaught passive as barbarian rage, it could work)

Widowmaker: ranger/rogue, perhaps; i mainly add the rogue part there cuz i know in 5th edition theres an "assassin" subclass for it and if that aint a good fit for widow, idk what is

Baptiste: he could be an artificer i think, hes got gadgets and stuff

Brigitte: paladin! technically she has a skin like this but its based on diablo, not dnd, but ehhhh

Jetpack Cat: ngl, i think she might just be like, a familiar or something lol (or just like. a pet); specifically, she could be a... tressym? thats what the winged cats in dnd are called, right?

Juno: not sure... could be a wizard, in a way?

Kiriko: hmm... might be an unconventional combination, but maybe a rogue/druid multi-class? rogue cuz shes a ninja, and druid for the nature-themed magic; the fox would either be her familiar or her preferred wild shape form, or maybe both, i mean why not

Lifeweaver: druid! isnt this what his mythic skin is anyways?

Lucio: bard! he also has a skin based on this idea iirc (i dont have it though)

Mercy: cleric, easy

Mizuki: rogue...? i dunno, gotta be something else too but i have no idea what; bit of a random side note but i think itd be funny/neat if they give him a legendary where his hat is a witch hat. maybe for halloween?

Moira: i could see her as plenty of different magic-using classes, just NOT a druid (and i guess not really an artificer either but thats also kinda an oddball so far as "magic" classes go anyways); cleric might be a stretch but i mean there ARE evil clerics so maybe

Wuyang: sorc or wiz, despite the fact that im pretty sure neither of those classes usually get healing spells, but i think its only fair if he matches his sister here lol

Zenyatta: ...is there really any question about what he would be? monk. though i think he could very easily be multi-classed as a cleric
