March For Science Cleveland
I was excited to be able to attend the March for Science in Cleveland today. A few of my students had been hoping to attend, and I was glad to act as a role model. It was good to see so many large Cleveland institutions in support of this, like Case Western Reserve University, John Carroll University, Holden Arboretum, the Museum of Natural History, and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
Today helped me remember that, as a science teacher, my life is Science Advocacy. My literal job is to help fifteen-year-olds recognize how the world works, how science affects their life, and what they can do about it.
Fostering curiosity is always job number one.
