That being said you guys really underestimate how much people will go out of their way to make you feel loved or forgive you because they know you hate yourself more than they could hate you

Pomni wanting to keep Ajax in her life is not surprising and if it came down to it I think an un abstracted Ribbit would forgive— NOT IMMEDIATELY NOT EVEN CLOSE but that girl was literally FIGHTING to be friends again despite the disrespect because she knew Jax was being dishonest and cruel for the sake of being an asshole and separate

I don’t think Gangle would forgive, I don’t even think she should because the humiliation cause so much harm just for the sake of making a mockery out of her, but that being said Zooble who cares about Gangle the MOST still cried for Jax because she had a different relationship to her pre-transition

And people acting like a mean person can’t have friends and have a trans experience is weird. Jax is an asshole, plenty of people are assholes verbally and care in other ways, Jax wasn’t that all of the time or much of the time but she and Gangle are allowed to be human and never reconnect because of their bumping heads

Final thoughts on Dain?

Okay. To me, he redeemed himself. Hes still not my favorite, but he did convince me that he truly had violets best intentions at heart. I really hope he and sloane have a cute relationship.

I feel like it’s so easy for us to hate Floch, but dang... dude sucked it up to go on the scariest mission yet in the story... and miraculously survived what should have been certain death. He carried the man who led them into death on his back out of obligation to the military, and what little hope he had left was dashed when his superiors made a logically unjustified choice to him. On top of that, not long after, he found out that the world wants him dead just for being born.

Remember, Floch doesn’t live with the kind of information we have. The first thing he learns about other peoples is they’re out to get him. He does find allies of other nationalities, but what he knows about the nation of Marley is that it’s a whole system that hate his people, from the government down to the people on the street, down to the people who are supposed to be his kin. This system and all in it, for all he knows, doesn’t only want to kill him — they are willing to condemn him to a face worse than death, they’ll take away his people’s humanity to gain mindless weapons.

I mean, wow, I’d be fucked in the head too if I were him. I mean, I bet most of y’all hate some kind of form of patriarchy in the system you’re living in; imagine being Floch, having his suspicions and fears being reinforced time and time again.

Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Sasha, and Connie have been in tough spots as well but they’d always had a fighting chance, other than Armin, none of their missions guaranteed death. And more importantly they have each other. We don’t get into Floch’s mindspace, but as far as we know, it very well may be that he doesn’t have that support system. He doesn’t have people who survived the Beast Titan to call his war buddies.

What he did in Liberio, what he did to Shadis, to Hange, a lot of what he’s doing now isn’t cool; it’s not right, none of it is, and he should be held accountable for it. But also. His main driver isn’t pride, isn’t greed. It’s fear. He needs to feel in a place of power, he needs to feel in control. He needs to, however misguided, reclaim agency from people he feels aren’t acting in his best interest; the last time he put his trust in his superiors, he almost died, then they proceded to break his trust. This boy has a severe case of PTSD. He’s scared and traumatized and still threatened, and he needs help.

The tweet alone isn’t enough for me to excuse him, don’t get me wrong. He shouldn’t have done it, period, but he did. In the past he has said/done things that weren’t okay too and he never apologized for any of it. He’d just say ‘I can do whatever I want.’ In my eyes that’s one of his biggest flaws. But this is the first time he did own up to it, so at least that's something. Again, he shouldn’t have done it. I’m just glad he’s owning up to his actions for once.

The sentence "Maybe we should call it off before we completely hate each other." doesn't get out of my head. This is something a person says that has control issues. All the fighting before (I know the fights were petty but let me tell you how draining petty fights can be...) made him fear for exactly that. That they would eventually completely hate each other. And in his mind the breakup was the only thing preventing it. The only way he could stay in control, calling it quits before something else decides it for him. It's fucked up. But I bet that is one of the reasons he is seeing a therapist.

I didn't like Snape's ending. I felt like he got WAY too much credit. I will never understand why Harry named his kid after him. I mean, yeah, it sucks Snape didn't get the girl of his dreams, but A. that was his own fault, and B. it's no excuse to treat Harry the way he did. I really don't think that his loyalty to Lily should have wiped away his faults enough for Harry to really respect him. He was just a mean, bitter man who picked on children because he was holding a grudge for many, many years.
