intruders by the residents is an album i always associate with not!them ^^ poor graham. it was always interesting to me that unlike other notthem victims, he seemed to understand he was being followed by it. i always imagined it had something to do with oliver, maybe a premonition of graham's death is why they broke up, leaving graham to try and tough it alone... :'D

Decided to relisten to the entire mag archives while cleaning and stuff, and I already am I love with all the hidden irony and symbolism behind each of the statements.

But I'm on ep 3 ATM and I've just realised how similar Jon and Graham are? Sorta I can't remember if it's cannon or fannaon that Jon went to Oxford but it's definitely my headcannons if it isn't cannon. Both are going grey, both are obsessive both have eye connections? Sorta

I've always thought that Graham was eye touched and that's why he was always scribbling 'keep watching' cause he Knew something was going to happen and he didn't want to be forgotten. I mean the irony here again with somone eye touched not wanting to be forgotten, they've both had experience with the web (table vs book moment) and they struggle with the idea of being replaced, Graham more litteraly as he does get replaced, but a lot of jons charecter arc over all the seasons is him struggling with his humanity, or lack thereof.

Basically I just think it's neat that the third episode the web showed him was severely parallel to his own life in lots of different ways.

relistening to tma is so funny because

1. the foreshadowing and character building you catch the second time around is actually insane. like I just caught that the guy in ep. 3/ page turner was childhood friends with Michael crew?? or even things like Jon being so much more serious about leitners than anything else because Mr. spider was a leitner??

and 2. Jon is so so stupid and such a bitch. literally every episode is just " this statement is obviously the result of hard drugs and the person being crazy. except for this glaringly obvious supernatural evidence we have. Also I fucking hate Martin."

OLIVER WAS FUCKING ON GRAHAM??????

So, I’ve just listened to MAG 11 during my tma re-listen and I’ve spent all evening trying to work out the time-line for Oliver Banks, and how that ties in with Graham Folger now that we know they dated. But whatever I do, I cannot get the dates to line up unless I have Oliver and Graham still dating post 2006. I know this is almost definitely not what Jonny envisioned, after all there is no sign of Oliver in MAG 003. But with some vague handwaving that perhaps their relationship was already falling apart, I think it’s a kind of interesting idea; that Oliver and Graham were still officially ‘together’ albeit struggling after Graham was replaced by Not-Graham. It adds quite a dark twist to two already tragic stories. So, yeah, I mean it’s definitely not canon and I think it’s likely an example of the complicated timeline of the show just going a bit awry (no complaints here Jonny, you did a great fucking job, so I won’t complain especially about the really early stuff when things were still kind of up in the air.) BUT, I kind of like it and maybe I’ll just adopt it as one of my weird hcs for the series. Anyway, any thoughts?ideas?theories? I’d love to hear them. Thank you.
