The Blood Pleaded you Not Guilty!!!
1 John 1:5b-9(Key Verse 7c-8)
God is light. There is no darkness in him at all. 6 Suppose we say that we share life with God but still walk in the darkness. Then we are lying. We are not living by the truth. 7 But suppose we walk in the light, just as he is in the light. Then we share life with one another. And the blood of Jesus, his Son, makes us pure from all sin. 8 Suppose we claim we are without sin. Then we are fooling ourselves. The truth is not in us. 9 But God is faithful and fair. If we admit that we have sinned, he will forgive us our sins. He will forgive every wrong thing we have done. He will make us pure.
Imagine if you were on trial and the prosecutor was the enemy and his mutants were the jury. The charges would be pretty cruel and they would want you to be convicted because you did wrong by God. They see you as guilty and look to give you the verdict you deserve. But even then you choose to hold your ground and stick to the story you gave to the judge. Are you guilty, did you commit the crime or were you wrongly accused? In this case the crime would be sin-not just sin itself but the indulgence one has in sin and the pattern one has operating in it. The sin we have committed against God has made us look guilty and it can’t be justified because we did it. Sin over and over again has made us turn on God and walk away from his will-it has also caused us to go after our own desires instead of his. Sin will make you selfish and self-centered and will make you numb to doing evil. Anything we do without the covering or God’s approval is considered sin which results in eternal disobedience. If you stay away too long then disobedience will take root in your life and will overtake your will to ever try and do right by God. What if you sin and you’re in God-then verdict will be due to you as well any sin that is outside of what God intended will be judged. The scripture says in Hebrews 10verse 12 that God did away with sin one time when he shed blood and died. Sin lost its power at this point and divine authority was given to us instantly. Just like in the court room the prosecutor and the jury have casted their vote and gave their evidence but then Jesus steps in to save you. His blood is all the evidence you need it paid off your debt and covered any extra charges that may try to be used against you. Jesus paid it all-sin had left a horrible stain but God washed all sin as white as snow. So plead not guilty in your case today because the blood has covered that! In 1 John it states that if we share in likeness with God that means we must walk, talk, and act like him all the time. Then whatever we may have done wrong prior or even currently can now be forgiven because Christ dies just for that and his blood covered it all. He will forgive all sin as long as we surrender to him and admit our wrong. When we do the blood will cover that too-any sin that is covered by the blood God has been forgiven. Christ died so that the blood could cover all sin not some but all-the blood if our defense and it works to protect us. From any accusation, wrongdoing, or failure we may have done. The blood is our help and it still has its great power today-it still saves and is working to deliver. The blood is full of strength and power to save us even from our deepest sin. Allow the blood to make your whole (pure) today and let it work to defend you in Jesus name.
