Just saw Colin Stetson at the NAC, part of the Ottawa Jazz Fest.
My god this man can make a glorious racket on his horn. He played some new songs that sounded awesome - the epic closer from his set, played on that giant bass saxophone of his, was especially a stunner. Can't wait to hear the next album!
Anyhow here's a classic example of his style - "Spindrift" from his 2017 LP All This I Do For Glory:
