Oh, bravo, genius who churned out that steaming pile of nonsense! Let’s rewind to episode 2.16—y’know, since I’m apparently stuck on repeat like a scratched CD. Tommy was fully redeemed there, woven into the team like a cozy little sweater. Or do you think Chim and Hen are so irrelevant they’d grab after-work beers with someone they loathe? A farewell party for a guy they can’t stand? Yeah, thought not.

Maybe crack a history book on how gay folks were treated under a macho dictator like Gerrard back then. Tommy evolved—post-Chim saving his life, Hen’s epic stand against Gerrard, and Bobby’s captaincy glow-up. But nah, why bother with facts when you can sling mud at a character for clicks?

Pull your head out of the fanon swamp, where Tommy Kinard’s been twisted into some villainous caricature by a bunch of Bddie-obsessed fanatics who can’t see past their ship goggles. Get a freaking clue about the actual show, This isn’t journalism—it’s just pathetic BS. Boohoo!

Alright so over the last couple of weeks with the Depp vs Heard trial going in i've seen a lot of people reference the 2020 uk verdict on the Sun newspaper labelling Johnny Depp a wife beater.

i just need people to know that the sun newspaper cannot be fucking trusted as far as an ant could throw it. it is an absolute dogshit masquerading as journalism

the sun called the aids epidemic a 'us gay blood plague' & offered to pay for all gay 'poofs' to leave the country. they lied about the hillsborough disaster for 25 years & backed the lying police. they backed margaret thatcher through her whole prime ministership. they were hugely involved in the phone hacking scandal.

the sun newspaper is also incredibly powerful in the uk. it's very difficult to go up against them. that's partly why Elton John's win against them is so famous

also the laws were changed in 2013 & made it easier for newspapers to win libel cases

the Depp case in the uk was against the sun newspaper on the use of the word wife beater. all they had to do was show that any of the information they had received as journalistic sources for the story was 'substantially sufficient' for a civil case to win. they did not need to prove abuse allegations to any criminal degree to win. please read exactly what the judge concluded was 'substantially sufficient' to understand exactly what newspapers are allowed to do in the uk.

so whatever you want to say about the current case, please know that the sun newspaper is a vile piece of shit organisation & no court case will ever change that

Baltimore Mayor, Maryland Governor Walk Off Interview with CNN’s Don Lemon

Late Monday evening, CNN’s Don Lemon arrived in Baltimore and questioned the city’s mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan. How’d it go? Well, let’s just say he repeatedly provoked the two over their respective responses to ongoing riots in the city, and eventually the frustrated pair just walked away.

Lemon grilled the mayor and the governor for about 11 minutes, asking them why their law enforcement response has been seemingly slow and clumsy. The CNN reporter also attempted to drive a wedge between the two, repeatedly asking why the governor did not activate the state’s National Guard earlier — a move which relies solely on a request from the city’s mayor, who did not do so until Monday afternoon.

As the conversation dragged on, it became clear that both the mayor and governor were annoyed with the line of questioning. When Lemon asked how they intend to enforce a curfew while also shutting down schools (meaning more young people on the streets), Hogan and Rawlings-Blake turned away from Lemon and removed their microphones, unceremoniously ending the interview.

After they’d departed, Lemon described them as “touchy.”

Net Neutrality Wins, but government is fickle

Just a reminder, these FCC rules have been laid down which is good. But nothing in American democracy is sacred, and everything can be overturned. 

Even the most difficult to touch aspects of American law, SCOTUS decisions and the Constitution are not above alteration. FCC policies are among the most ephemeral decisions. 

This decision itself replaces rules established in 2010. 

Should control of the House and Senate be under the control of the opponents of Net Neutrality long enough, we could see it dissolved. 

Additionally, Congress can challenge the rules and overturn them for a variety of reasons.

Today is a victory for free speech. But the war is not over, nor will it ever be.

There are 435 seats in the House, 36 seats in the senate and one seat in the White House up for grabs in 2016.  If you care about Net Neutrality, find out your senator's and representatives' position on it and vote accordingly.
