So, I finished with my testimony of the car crash from last week. Simply explained, I was walking on the side of the road, then I was suddenly being hit by a car, then I was on the ground bleeding. Then there was an ambulance, about five phone calls, and a trip to the hospital for x-rays.
Luckily, I broke the car’s headlight with my body, so the driver had to stop and report the incident to the police. Otherwise, it would be easy to find him and the punishment is much worse for a hit and run. But, for me to break the headlight, he must have been going pretty fast. According to the police: “Usually people slow down when they realize they’re about to hit something. He didn’t see you at all.”
After hearing that, of course, I asked the officer for the reason why the guy had hit me with his car. Was he multitasking? Was the visibility bad? What excuse did he come up with? The answer was:
Now the driver’s sentencing is in the hands of the Japanese government. He’ll have a mark on his record for sure, but he could also go to jail or be fined. As long as I’m still alive to enjoy KilluGon, I guess the days will continue for me.
