Thinking about some of the posts I've reblogged that use butterfly imagery - be it clothing designs, or general motifs that I think could work within the world. I often forget that my favourite band have a butterfly in their logo too, and that's just neat.

Miraculous Ladybug is such a disappointment to me because while I KNOW teenagers and adults aren’t the target audiences, you’d think that after season 1 happened and gained international attention that they’d focus on story a little more and tone it to be a show friendly to children while ALSO increasing the integrity of the narrative. Like Avatar, or The Dragon Prince.  But it’s still just this really cringey episodic show seasons later that has SUCH a good premise that so many people are still clinging to it in the hopes that they’ll realize what they have and utilize it. Instead of capitalizing and making a shorter show that’s so good that they’ll get contracts for a new one later, they’re drawing this one out and milking it. It’s just a shame.

I think I may go through this blog and save and make some offline folders of some of the images. Just to have a "hard" copy of some of them. Cherry, Emily, The Fae, the various rooms around The Hideout. The idea was to use what I reblog here as references or as prompts, so I was always going to revisit the posts on this blog. But it feels like a really nice thing to do to, because I barely ever head back into the archives on my other ones.

Flinging the doors open on my drafts, across my various blogs. I don't know why I draft so much, really. I like to keep the numbers as low as possible, so every now and then, I either post them or delete them.

Thinking about tea. And reading about one a mutual was talking about, specifically the unique ways it can be prepared, and the link between alchemy and tea came into my head. No surprises that there are a few books similarly named that. I don't know, the concept of taking ingredients and making something is so rudimentary, but... also very satisfying, to either think about or participate in. The sheer amount of things in life that can act as a blank canvas.

Thinking about it, because the hideout has not only an archive of books, but also of clothing. Emily could appear wearing clothing completely out of synch with the time she's from. Which leads to the question - what if period ghosts died wearing clothing from several centuries earlier, just because it's what they had access to?

"He's dressed in Georgian clothing, so he must have died in the 1700s" Or did he?
