they're showing way more parts of the tardis interior that we've never seen before in this story and i feel like they just dressed up the dreariest concrete cinderblock looking building the bbc owned that they could film in for free, in whatever props they had lying around

i mean  this has to be a budgetary decision right? and if it is i like this Way more than the story that almost entirely took place on green screen backgrounds (and i kinda liked that one too, just for the silliness lol)

but also i Genuinely Love the implications for the canon of this show that the tardis interior starts off with the roundels and futuristic decor and i guess as you get deeper in it just starts looking like some awful depressing office building.

Day 96 After evenly dividing my time between job work and apartment hunting (mostly making and answering phone calls), I'm on my way into Brooklyn to see three places. I actually managed to work a full eight hours despite the split and my leaving early because there was another early start today. Hopefully we'll find our new apartment tonight!

Day 85 My first day back in the office after a week of vacation, and I left early to view an apartment in New York. After high-pressure comments like 'this neighborhood is hot, guys,' and 'this place is a great deal, guys,' we respectfully declined. It's just not worth dealing with people who are kind and friendly one minute and manipulating you the next. I understand that many brokers are like that, but there are just so many apartments and unless it's a great fit, I will say no. Plus, we waited outside the building for 20 minutes because he didn't have the keys and buzzed everyone in the building. To repair the damage to our souls, my girlfriend and I stopped at Xi'an Famous Foods, my new home, for lots an lots of spicy, meaty, noodle goodness. This resulted in the mess shown above.

Day 78 While funny things happened at lunch, and interesting things happened in the office, today is noteworthy for what happened after I left. First, I made my way to Greenpoint in Brooklyn for a tattoo consult with the amazing Duke Riley. After about an hour, we hammered out an idea and I left a drawing fee with one of my favorite living artists. Seriously, his work is amazing. I can barely believe that this guy whose work I am in awe of will eventually draw on my body with permanent ink. WOOOO! Next was the dash to Penn Station to rendezvous with my girlfriend and catch a train home. Thankfully, we made it with a minute or two to spare, and eventually found seats together. Also thankfully, my girlfriend is awesome and picked up a lamb burger for me from Xi'an Famous Foods. Which is the greatest food on Earth. Seriously. Even on a train and next to some incredibly tasty noodles. What a day wooooooooo!

Day 72

Left work early today to meet up with my girlfriend, her co-worker and her boyfriend, their boss, and their boss' friend. Italian on the Upper East Side at a place called Per Lei. Should be fun! Woo!

Day 47

Would love to comment about the jokes, co-worker ridiculousness or random hilarity that happened at work today, but much more awesomeness happened after I left work.

CRAZY HOT NEW YORK CITY ANTICS. NJ Transit, I hate you. Delay in NJ Penn -> PATH to WTC -> Couldn't find an uptown train -> 10-block hike to nowhere -> CAB -> Book club w/GF + friends (Tina Fey's Bossypants) -> Train uptown -> Drinks and a great hot dog @ Reunion -> Long nap on the train.
