the persistent aphobia on this site baffles me. Bc that’s not how anyone in the real world is....just this week I went to two lectures at my university that both included discussions on asexuality as a valid identity. Asexuality is recognized in academia....but some people on here still hate on it???

say what u will about cassandra clare and shadowhunters and whatever but like...shes fuckin inclusive. like..she wrote a black trans character who's a main character in the newest series but these weren't the character's defining features. you don't even find out she's trans until like..7? books after her first appearance. clare has gay, bi, trans, autistic, asian, black, Hispanic and so many other diverse characters and ive always thought shes deserved more props for that since a lot of authors don't try to be inclusive
